Discover Ötztal
A valley full of expectation and adventure
The Ötztal is the longest side valley in Tyrol. Along the 65 kilometres there is plenty to discover and enjoy. The gentle landscape at the entrance of the valley makes for a promising start. The Piburger Lake is a natural jewel at the beginning of the Ötztal. The natural swimming lake lies idyllically between high mountains and is one of the warmest lakes in Tyrol.
The water theme carries on, as in Umhausen the largest waterfall in Tyrol stretches over 150 metres. The Stuiben waterfall is especially worth a visit on a hot summer day. In the middle of the Ötz valley you find Längenfeld. Nordic ski fans will find over 60 kilometres of cross country tracks. Wellness lovers really should pay the AQUA DOME SPA a visit.
Towards the end of the valley the first class ski resorts of Sölden and Obergurgl-Hochgurgl await you. Both ski resorts offer over 100 kilometres of ski slopes each. In summer the Bike Republik Sölden is the first stopping point for all biking enthusiasts. Lastly at the far end of the valley lies the mountain village of Vent and is a true Eldorado for all mountaineers, touring skiers and nature lovers.
